SBA 504 Legislation
President Bush signed legislation on December 8, 2004 re-authorizing the SBA 504 Program for fiscal years 2005 and 2006. This legislation included increases to the maximum allowable size of SBA 504 loans. The increases are as follows:
• $1.5 million for regular loans, up from $1 million • $2 million for loans that fulfill a public policy goal, up from $1.3 million • $4 million for loans to manufacturers California Statewide is excited about these positive changes to the program. We can now participate in larger projects and assist our current borrowers who are expanding and were previously at their maximum on lending authority.
Current Rate
The effective rate for the term of the loan for the January 2005 closing is 6.15%..
